I'm a 44 year old male,I have worked all my life.MI live in the state of Maine.I was living and working in the state of Florida,I worked for Verizon making good money.The second year down there my brother and his wife were having problems and I suggested they move to Florida and start over,I opened my doors to the and they took me for a ride.I did not relize they were heavy into pills and owing many people money for drugs thet took my offer to move down to Florida.Here al this time me not knowing the real problem they were having.I was told by them they were having problems with there relationship,and not drugs.after two years of the taking from me,not working and staeling what ever they could from me to sell at the pawn shop for drugs.i eventually had them removed from my home by the police.This left me in great debt.I was laid off by Verizon in 2009,and collected unemployment.so I decided to move back to Maine were the cost of living is cheaper.I was cut off of unemployment this month,leaving me in debt again.I do now collect food stamps and I look for work 10 day a week.Being without transpotation makes it had to look for work.I am a hard worker and do take care of my prorities.i want to work but the econmy is so bad know I am beginning to give up.I'm doing all I can to keep my rental,but my lanlord needs to be payed.The city I live in eill help with rent at 90 dollars a week but does not help with arrears.i am on a payment plan with the light company but am now falling behind.I have exhausted all my efforts with local charities helping with what they can.I am afraid of becomming homeless.I'm not looking for people to pay my way,I can and will work when i find a job.I have never been in this kind of down fall in my life.I'm just not sure what to do.My brothe and wife are living here in Maine and have taken care of there drug problem and now work,they both have good jobs and make good money but hold a grudge against me for tossen them out when they lived with me in florida.I'm not saying they owe me anything,but they wont give me a penny.Thats ok,i live and learn.i now no how to say no to people,it is hard because my past history of working is in homeless shelters for men woman and children.i am a compassionate person and would help anyone in need,but i need to take care of myself now.I can only hope that there was a angel to help me out in this slump I'm in.I would do anthing to have a job.I just need a little help and as I said not sure who to turn to or ask for help.thank you reading this,and can only hope and pray that a miracle will happen.
